Movable type printing is one of the "four great inventions" in ancient China. There are roughly four processes: wording, word selection and setting, ink and paper preparation for printing, and word storage. The materials for wording include mud, wood, tin, copper and lead by varying methods. This technique is called as Movable Type Printing because its printing is a single movable type, and the movable type can be arranged into a plate according to the requirements of the manuscript before printing.
